Forum: feature_films Subject: PD Films I'd Like To See Uploaded (aka the "Robin Is Bored" thread part 1)

The Wackiest Wagon Train in the West (1976) (Ok)
Around the Beatles (1964) (TV Movie) (Rubbish)
The Patchwork Girl of Oz (1914) (Fabulous)
His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz (1914) (Mediocre)
The Magic Cloak of Oz (1914) (Fairly Good)
The Sealed Room (1909) (Stupid but brilliant)

"The Wackiest Wagon Train in the West" was produced by Metromedia, and is basically edited from several episodes of "Dusty's Trail", and was released in cinemas, probably to earn back some money after the commercial failure of TV series itself.

"Around the Beatles" features performances by The Beatles and other acts, and sums up why many people hated the 60's and got nostalgic for the 50's. Seriously, It shows a youth culture that is shallow and banal, and my mother herself said that she didn't like the 60's, and thought the 70's were much better. It was produced by some crappy TV channel and seems to of entered the public domain.

"The Patchwork Girl of Oz" is a fabulous silent film that is FUN!

"His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz" is a mediocre silent film with the stupidest ending in the history of mankind.

"The Magic Cloak of Oz" is a fairly good and cute silent film with decent special effects, and a nice story.

"The Sealed Room" is a stupid but brilliant silent film featuring a HOT and SEXY king who KILLS his girlfriend/wife! It's the best thing since sliced bread.

Anybody got any of those?
